What Is LNG?

• LNG is liquid form of the natural gas stored as super-cooled (cryogenic) liquid -> -160 °c

• The volume is reduced 600 times

• LNG offers an energy density comparable to petrol and diesel fuels, extending range and reducing refueling frequency

Why LNG

LNG is clean, colourless and non-toxic liquid which forms when natural gas is cooled to -160ºC (-260ºF). The cooling process shrinks the volume of the gas 600 times, making it easier and safer to store and ship. In its liquid state, LNG will not ignite.

Narrow Flammability limits, combusting only in air to fuel proportions of 5%-15%, as the auto ignition possible only at approxiamtely 540ºC

CNG

Compressed Natural Gas

CNG which mainly methane (CH4) means NG is compressed in high operating pressure between 200 - 250 bar.

LNG

Liquefied Natural Gas

LNG is a natural gas condensed into a liquid form at atmospheric pressure after being cooled at minus 150 - 165 deg Celsius and purification process by removing impurities and it produce cleaner emissions.

LPG

Liquefied Petroleum Gas

LPG normally contains liquid gas propane (C3H8) and butane (C4H10) some of it allows the presence of other types of gas such as ethane (C2H6) and pentane (C5H12).
